The Celestron Nexstar 90 SLT telescope is the perfect astronomical tool for every astronomy enthusiast - a combination of a great Maksutov optical tube, an altazimuth mount with the GOTO Nexstar SLT tracking system with a database of 4000 objects and a stable field tripod with steel legs.
The telescope works well as a short balcony planetary spotter, providing very high contrast when observing bright and compact objects (Moon, planets, bright clusters and galaxies), because it is practically free from chromatic aberration and is not very sensitive to atmospheric instability. It is also a good choice for people looking for a very portable telescope with considerable observing capabilities, one that will be a companion on many trips to dark, rural skies, while taking up very little space in the trunk of a car.
The Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system is one of the most highly regarded optical designs, widely appreciated for its portability, ease of use and multifunctionality. It is an excellent choice for astronomical observations, as well as terrestrial and aircraft observations. Excellent optics provide exceptionally sharp images throughout the field of view. The telescope consists of a meniscus corrector plate, a primary mirror and a secondary mirror placed on the inner part of the meniscus. These telescopes have reduced coma and exhibit only residual chromatic aberration, giving very sharp and clear images. The great advantage of Maksutov telescopes is their compact and compact design and low weight. Due to their significant focal length and low light intensity, they are perfect for planetary observations. This type of design works well in metropolitan conditions, where the main focus is on Solar System objects rather than nebulae. • focusing Focusing is not done by an external sliding focuser, but by a micrometric screw that moves the telescope's primary mirror. This method of focusing the image provides a very wide range of focus adjustment, thanks to which practically any astronomical accessories work well with this tube, and play in the focuser simply does not exist.
• T2 thread in the eyepiece focuser The eyepiece extender is equipped with a T2 thread (M42x0.75), so all you need to connect your SLR is a T2 ring for your camera's bayonet (Nikon, Canon EOS, Sony α, Sony NEX, Micro 4/3, Olympus E, Olympus 4/3, Pentax K). This way you can use the telescope to take pictures of the Moon and planets or use it as a 1250 mm f/14 telephoto lens.

This device focuses a large amount of light. Looking directly at the Sun through this device can cause partial or complete loss of vision. For observing the Sun, we recommend the safest method of eyepiece projection, i.e. projecting the image of our daytime star's disk onto a sheet of paper.
