The telescope is equipped with a meniscus correction lens placed in front of a spherical secondary mirror that eliminates field curvature and spherical aberration. This advanced optical design is based on an open and very light optical system, which has the advantage of short cooling time and good chromatic and spherical aberration correction. Curved secondary mirror brackets reduce diffraction , especially visible when observing bright objects.
The VMC100L model also has a convenient and precise internal focusing system based on adjusting the spacing of mirrors, which gives a very large adjustment range, allowing observation of objects from a few meters to infinity. As a result, the telescope handles any eyepieces, angle connectors or binocular caps without any problem. In addition, the telescope uses a built-in "flip mirror" system that allows a quick transition from visual to photographic mode, while attaching an observation eyepiece and a camera or CCD camera to the telescope. Such a solution significantly shortens the time of preparation for the photographic session due to the lack of the need to exchange observation accessories for photography. This system allows you to get the desired focus for both the observation eyepiece as well as the photographic eyeball and immediately after changing the position of the internal mirror (without further preparation) taking the picture. An alternative use of this system is the ability to put on two glasses at the same time.
