Antlia Triband RGB Ultra II filter 2" is the latest version of the valued multi-band RGB filter designed to eliminate light pollution when shooting with monochrome and color cameras (OSC) and optical tubes with a maximum light intensity of f/2. Version II is characterized by a modified spectral range, now also including the Hβ band.
The optical characteristics of the filter have been selected in a way that allows achieving excellent characteristics in the HSO palette while maintaining the natural balance between the RGB channels, which, due to the characteristics of CMOS matrices, requires proper compensation of the signal intensity in the blue channel, for which it is sensitive. The number of sensors is usually significantly lower compared to the R and G channels.
This filter will also be useful for collecting the luminance signal when photographing dark nebulae with monochrome cameras, improving contrast and signal-to-noise ratio. • high transmittance for the Hα, Hβ, OIII, SII and NII bands • designed to work with digital SLR cameras, as well as monochrome and color astronomical cameras • compatible with telescopes with a maximum aperture of f/2 or darker • optimized transmittance in the blue light range in relation to R and G channels • filter type: three-band RGB filter • Filter diameter: 2" • filter thickness: 2 ± 0.05 • filter shape: round • maximum aperture of the optical tube: f/2 • transmitted spectral lines: Hα, Hβ, OIII, SII, NII • location of the maximum transmittance peak (CWL) for the Hα band: 656.3 nm • maximum transmission for the Hα band: >92% • location of the maximum transmittance peak (CWL) for the Hβ band: 486.1 nm • maximum transmission for the Hβ band: >92% • location of the maximum transmittance peak (CWL) for the OIII band: 495.9; 500.7nm • maximum transmission for the OIII band: >92% • location of the maximum transmittance peak (CWL) for the SII band: 671.6; 672.4nm • maximum transmission for the SII band: >92% • location of the maximum transmittance peak (CWL) for the NII band: 658.3; 654.8nm • maximum transmission for the NII band: >92% • optical density equivalent for blocked lines: >OD4 (300 - 1100 nm) • thread: M48x0.75 • Antlia Triband RGB Ultra II filter 2" 24 months
