William Optics RedCat 51 mm WIFD is a compact optical device that, thanks to the use of the best available materials and precise workmanship, allows you to obtain incredibly sharp, contrasting and detailed astrophotographic photos.

The heart of this telescope is the Petzval optics. One of the most perfect optical materials, synthetic fluorite, was used to produce the low-dispersion lens. This material, known as FPL-53, is characterized not only by a high Abbe number, but, equally importantly, it is much more chemically stable than natural crystalline fluorite.

This telescope complements the range of William Optics instruments equipped with a WIFD William Optics Internal Focus Design with internal focusing. This patented solution allows you to maintain perfect linearity even when installing large SLR cameras or heavy astronomical cameras, thus minimizing the risk of unwanted vignetting to zero. The focuser is also compatible with the WO EAF automated focusing system.

The telescope tube is mounted on precisely made clamps, equipped with a Vixen socket for mounting a finder or guider.
