The Antlia 2" Quad Band Anti-Light Pollution Filter is a professional astronomical filter designed to work with cameras equipped with color and monochrome matrices. With spectral characteristics spanning the visible, near ultraviolet and near infrared ranges, this filter delivers phenomenal results when photographing objects such as distant galaxies and emission nebulae, even in conditions of heavy light pollution.
This filter combines the ability to almost completely eliminate the unwanted component from sodium and mercury lamps with high transmittance for the Hα, S-II, O-III, Hβ and N-II bands. The passband curve has been selected to also transmit light from the near infrared (NIR) range, which is especially important for deep-sky photography.
The filter holder is made of anodized aluminum, which guarantees its high durability and low weight. Thanks to the very thin wall thickness, the risk of vignetting is reduced to a minimum.
Note: The filter is not recommended for visual observations or solar observations. • a bandpass filter made on a high-quality optical substrate that transmits the Hα, S-II, O-III, Hβ and N-II bands • compatible with astrographs with a light intensity of up to f/2 while maintaining minimal signal loss • high transmittance in the near infrared range improving the quality of images of deep sky objects • very good color balance • effective elimination of spectral lines emitted by sodium and mercury lamps • filter type: bandpass filter • substrate: optical glass • Filter diameter: 2" • filter thickness: 2 ± 0.05 mm • filter shape: round • transmitted bands: Hα (656.3 nm), N-II (645.8 nm; 658.3 nm), S-II (671.6 nm; 672.4 nm), O-III (495.9 nm; 500.7 nm), Hβ (658.3 nm; 654.8 nm), NIR (750-925 nm) • maximum Hα band transmission: >92% • maximum transmission of the N-II band: >92% • maximum S-II band transmission: >92% • maximum transmission of O-III band: >92% • maximum Hβ band transmission: >92% • blocked light pollution bands: mercury lamps (435.8 nm, 546.1 nm, 577 nm, 578.1 nm), sodium lamps (598 nm, 589.6 nm, 615.4 nm, 616.1 nm) • surface finish quality: λ/4 • surface quality index: 60/40 • parallelism: <30" • frame thread: M48x0.75 • Antlia 2" Quad Band Anti-Light Pollution Filter 3-year manufacturer's warranty (for delamination of the filter and substrate)
