William Optics RedCat 51 II-U APO 250 mm f/4.9 v2 is a compact astrograph, which is a structural development of the first generation of RedCat telescopes, optimized for use in astrophotography.

The heart of this telescope is the Petzval system optics, which consist of four lenses arranged in three groups. The design of the tube and extractor has been designed in such a way that the obtained diameter of the full illumination circle covers the entire full-frame matrices, thus eliminating the vignetting effect.

In order to perfectly fit astronomical cameras and digital cameras, the telescope is equipped with an integrated tilter and a rotator with a 360° rotation range.

Thanks to the use of a double mounting foot compatible with Vixen and Arca Swiss sockets, the telescope can be mounted both on astronomical mounts and on photographic tripods with an appropriate mounting plate.

Attention! The second generation of the William Optics RedCat 51 II-U APO 250 mm f/4.9 telescope is not suitable for visual observations. It is also not compatible with the D-EP90-125-RC51-SL angle attachment dedicated to the previous version of this optical tube.
