The ZWO ASI 462 MM V2 (Official Version) is a professional monochrome astrophotography camera, an evolution of the ASI 290 MM. Utilizing a high-quantum efficiency, ultra-low-noise Sony IMX462 sensor and a 12-bit ADC, the camera produces breathtaking images with unprecedented sharpness and tonal dynamics.

The Sony IMX462 sensor, built with Sony Starvis™ technology, achieves unprecedented sensitivity, allowing the camera to capture faint signals from even the most distant deep-space objects. This product also avoids the Amp Glow effect typical of many CMOS sensors, which causes parts of the image to become brighter during long exposures. Despite the lack of active cooling, the camera boasts an exceptionally low readout noise level, ranging from 0.5 to 2.5µm.

The camera is housed in a compact metal housing painted in the classic red color for ZWO products.

Please note: The 462 MM V2 (Official Version) is equipped with a 256 MB DDR3 memory buffer. The memory buffer will not be installed in the first two hundred ZWO ASI 462 MM cameras produced, designated by ZWO as the Early Bird series.
