During many hours of exposure, the temperature of the optical tube may decrease significantly. Telescopes with an open structure are particularly sensitive, where, due to the cooling of the inside of the tube, the relative humidity of the air increases and the water vapor condenses on the mirrors. As a result, taking a good picture quickly becomes impossible, and the condensation can also damage highly sensitive electronic components such as cameras.
To prevent this undesirable effect, use heating elements that increase the temperature of the selected optical system elements, such as the TS Optics adhesive heating pad. The tape is made of an elastic material covered with an insulating layer, thanks to which it can be perfectly matched to the mirror, ensuring at the same time minimal heat dissipation beyond the target heated element.
Attention! The overlay should be glued with silicone glue or double-sided adhesive tape (not included). • flexible heating cap designed to stick to the bottom part of the secondary mirror of Newton refractors • high efficiency and low power consumption • power cord terminated with an RCA connector • maximum power: 2 W • maximum current consumption: 0.17 A • internal dimensions: 50 x 71 mm • external dimensions: 72 x 100 mm • length of the power cord: 380 mm • Power cord connector: RCA • TS Optics FHeiz 71 secondary mirror heater
