The William Optics Ultra 56 WIFD is a compact wide-field astrograph featuring an advanced 5-element Petzval optical design. Because the field is factory-flattened, no external field flattener is required and no backfocus calculation is needed. Simply attach your camera, reach focus, and begin imaging. The integrated WIFD internal rack-and-pinion focuser offers exceptional rigidity, zero tilt, and 30 mm of precise travel.
With a 269 mm focal length and a fast f/4.8 ratio, the Ultra 56 delivers a generous 50 mm image circle that fully illuminates Full Frame sensors while maintaining excellent star quality across the entire field. Weighing just 2.56 kg (3.21 kg fully equipped), the telescope is exceptionally portable and well-suited for mobile imaging setups.
The complete package includes William Optics’ premium Sensor Tilt Xterminator (STX) with a fully integrated 360° rotator, M54 and M48 camera adapters, an integrated Bahtinov mask, retractable dew shield, handle with Vixen/Arca-Swiss base, and a dual-standard 210 mm dovetail plate.
