The Askar 91F Flat-Field 91mm 91/609 f/6.7 Quadruplet Air-Space APO Telescope is an advanced optical instrument designed for both astrophotography and visual observations. It features a four-element air-spaced apochromatic lens system, including one ED glass element, which minimizes chromatic aberration and ensures excellent sharpness and color fidelity. Its self-flattened design ensures a flat image field and full coverage of the 44mm frame without the need for an additional flattener.
The Askar 91F combines compactness, practicality, and high mechanical precision. The stable tube with a fold-out dew shield is equipped with a robust 3-inch rack & pinion focuser with a 1:10 micro-motion and a 360° rotator, allowing for free change of frame orientation. The set includes tube clamps, a transport handle, a Vixen-standard mounting rail, and a set of camera adapters, allowing for quick connection of cameras and SLRs. Two finder scope sockets provide flexibility in mounting accessories.
The instrument is suitable for both deep-sky observations and observations of planets, the Moon, and daytime applications (e.g., nature observations). The manufacturer provides two 1.25" eyepieces (8 mm and 20 mm) and a 45° diagonal, allowing the telescope to also be used as a versatile refractor for terrestrial observations. • four-element optical design (Quadruplet APO) with an ED lens, effectively reducing chromatic aberration • built-in field correction – no need to use an additional flattener • full coverage of the 44 mm frame – compatibility with full-frame sensors • R&P 3" precision rack and pinion lift with 1:10 micro-motion and 360° rotator • two sockets for mounting a finder or accessories • foldable dew shield protecting the optics against dew and side light • can be used both in astrophotography and in visual and daytime observations • optical design: apochromatic refractor • lens system: ED quadruplet with air gap • number of low dispersion lenses: one • front lens diameter (aperture): 91 mm • focal length: 609 mm • aperture: f/6.7 • diameter of the full illumination disc: 44 mm • compatibility with full-frame sensors: yes • maximum working distance (astrophotography) from the base of the M48×0.75 thread: 75 mm • maximum working distance (astrophotography) from the base of the M54×0.75 thread: 93 mm • maximum working distance (visual observations) from the end of the 1.25" eyepiece socket: 112 mm • maximum working distance (visual observations) from the end of the 2" eyepiece socket: 122 mm • compatible eyepieces / diagonals: 1.25" / 2" • possibility of mounting filters: yes, M48×0.75 thread in the adapter • exhaust diameter: 3" • lift type: rack & pinion, dual speed with a gear ratio of 1:10 • rotator: yes, 360° with scale • mounting bracket: Vixen 230 mm rail with 1/4" and 3/8" holes • tube length (folded dew shield, 1.25" adapter): 513 mm • tube length (dew shield extended, 1.25" adapter): 599 mm • tube length (with photo adapter, dew shield folded): 550 mm • tube length (with photo adapter, dew shield unfolded): 636 mm • tube weight without accessories: 3.92 kg • weight of the set with clamps and rail: 4.52 kg • Askar 91F Flat-Field optical tube 91 mm 91/609 f/6.7 • mounting clamps with transport handle • Vixen mounting rail 230 mm • set of photographic adapters (M64×1 - M54×0.75, M54×0.75 - M54×0.75, M54×0.75 - M48×0.75 with filter thread) • 45° (1.25") angle attachment • 8 mm (1.25") eyepiece • 20 mm (1.25") eyepiece • documentation 24 months
