The Optolong L-Pro (L-Professional) filter is a multiband filter designed for visual observations and astrophotography of deep sky objects from light polluted areas. It selectively limits the transmission of wavelengths characteristic of artificial lighting - including mercury lamps, high- and low-pressure sodium lamps and natural sky glow (so-called skyglow). At the same time, the filter is characterized by high transmittance in important emission bands of nebulae, which results in improved contrast and detail reproduction in conditions of light pollution.
Optolong L-Pro effectively transmits OIII (496 and 500 nm), H-beta (486 nm), NII (654 and 658 nm), H-alpha (656 nm) and SII (672 nm) lines. Thanks to its balanced transmission, it is particularly recommended for photographs of galaxies, globular clusters and reflection nebulae, where maintaining a natural color balance is of great importance. Compared to UHC and CLS filters, L-Pro offers more natural color reproduction while effectively reducing the impact of light pollution.
The filter is designed for both visual and photographic applications – it is particularly useful for wide-angle astrophotography of the Milky Way, enabling the recording of subtle structures in a field full of stars. • multi-band filter reducing the impact of sodium, mercury and skyglow lamps • high permeability of bands: OIII, Hβ, Hα, NII, SII • maintaining natural color balance in photos • designed for observing and photographing deep sky objects • effective in urban and suburban conditions • ideal for galaxies, reflection nebulae and clusters • high-quality anti-reflective coatings (AR coating) • size: 2" • type of frame: metal, threaded • maximum transmission: >90% • filter type: multiband (broadband, Anti-LP) • spectral classification: band • anti-reflective coatings: AR • weight: 13 g • use: visual and photographic • observation objects: deep sky objects (DSO) • warranty: 24 months
