Gray filter manufactured by Baader Planetarium with a transmission of 0.1% and a diameter of ø=2". Designed for advanced and demanding users. Made with high precision and as the only gray filter in our offer covered with Phantom Group® anti-reflection coatings, it does not show any reflections when observing bright objects. The optical density of the filter is OD=3.0, which means a transmission of 0.1%. Equipped with a standard 2" filter thread on both sides. The height of the filter cell is 8.2 mm (0.33"). The active aperture of the filter is 45.8 mm (1.8"). Spectrally neutral gray filters allow you to weaken the light coming from very bright objects such as the Sun, Moon, planets or bright stars. The weakening of the glow of objects visible in the eyepiece allows for better separation of visible details. The filter is suitable for lunar and planetary observations as well as for resolving bright and close double star systems. The 0.1% transmittance filter works best for observing Mercury, and will also help in observing details of the atmosphere of Venus. • type: broadband, neutral density • frame: 2" • transmission: 0.1% • layers: MC • weight: 72 g 24 months
