The William Optics RedCat 71 mm WIFD is a compact optical device that, thanks to the use of the best available materials and precise workmanship, allows you to obtain incredibly sharp, contrasting and detailed astrophotography photos.

The heart of this telescope is the optics made in the Petzval system. One of the most perfect optical materials, synthetic fluorite, was used to produce the low-dispersion lens. This material, known as FPL-53, is characterized not only by a high Abbe number, but, equally importantly, it is much more chemically stable than natural crystal fluorite.

This telescope complements the William Optics range of instruments equipped with a focuser ( WIFD William Optics Internal Focus Design ) with internal focusing. This patented solution allows maintaining perfect linearity even when large SLRs or heavy astronomical cameras are installed, thus minimizing the risk of unwanted vignetting to zero. The focuser is also compatible with the WO EAF automatic focusing system.

The telescope tube is mounted on precisely made clamps, equipped with a Vixen socket for mounting a finder or guide scope.
