William Optics RedCat 71 APO 350 is an astrograph designed for professional use, which distinguishes itself from its competitors with its exemplary field correction and excellent control of chromatic aberrations.
The heart of this telescope is the four-element Petzval APO-ED optics. Synthetic fluorite, one of the most perfect optical materials, was used for the production of the low-dispersion lens. This material, produced by the renowned Japanese company Ohara, under the designation FPL-53, is characterized not only by a high value of the Abbe number, but also much more chemically stable than natural crystalline fluorite.
This astrograph is distinguished not only by the excellent quality of the materials, but also by the technologically advanced design of the optical system. Thanks to the solutions patented by Williams Optics, this instrument offers a perfectly flat field without the need for additional equalizers.
The tube of the telescope is mounted on precisely made clamps, equipped with a Vixen socket for the mounting of a finder or guider, as well as a Vixen / Arca-Swiss foot.
