ZWO ADC (Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector) is an atmospheric dispersion corrector designed to improve the quality of images of the Moon and planets. By eliminating chromatic aberration caused by the Earth's atmosphere - especially when objects are low above the horizon - it allows for clearer and sharper images in astrophotography. The device was awarded the title of "Hot Sky Product 2017" by "Sky & Telescope" magazine.
The corrector is based on two precisely made prisms of optical glass H-K9L (equivalent to Schott BK7), with a surface accuracy of λ/10 at 632.8 nm. The prisms are coated with an anti-reflective layer friendly to UV radiation. The corrector has a deflection angle of 2° and is equipped with a spirit level facilitating correct positioning in the optical path. • prism material: H-K9L (Schott BK7) • Surface accuracy: λ/10 @ 632.8 nm • deflection angle: 2° • anti-reflective coatings: AR, UV permeable • version with spirit level
