William Optics RedCat 61 mm WIFD Petzval APO is a compact optical device that, thanks to the use of the best available materials and precise workmanship, allows you to obtain incredibly sharp, contrasting and detailed astrophotography images.

The heart of this telescope is the optics made in the Petzval system. One of the most perfect optical materials, which is synthetic fluorite, was used for the production of the low dispersion lens. This material, known as FPL-53, is characterized not only by a high value of the Abbe number, but also, what is equally important, it is chemically much more stable than natural crystalline fluorite.

This telescope completes the William Optics range of instruments equipped with a focuser type ( WIFD William Optics Internal Focus Design ) with internal focusing. This patented solution allows you to maintain perfect linearity even when installing large reflex cameras or heavy astronomical cameras, thus minimizing the risk of unwanted vignetting to zero. The focuser is also compatible with the ZWO EAF autofocus system.

The telescope tube is mounted on precisely made clamps, equipped with a Vixen socket for mounting a finder or guider.
