Following the extremely successful reception of the first electronic telescope model Seestar S50, ZWO has introduced its lighter, more compact and advanced variant ZWO Seestar S30. Like its predecessor, Seestar S30 combines the functions of an altazimuth mount, AsiAir computer and low dispersion apochromat controlled via a single, intuitive mobile application.
The telescope is equipped with double APO class optics with low dispersion lenses (ED) that eliminate chromatic aberrations, thus significantly improving color reproduction. The use of double optics allows the user to switch between a telephoto lens dedicated to photography and a wide-angle lens used in movie mode. The image is recorded by a low-noise Sony IMX662 matrix using Sony Starvis™ technology and known, among others, for its use in professional astrophotography cameras. Thanks to the built-in three ZWO filters, the Seestar S30 can successfully serve users during everyday observations in urban lighting conditions.
The entire structure is mounted on an azimuth mount with a GoTo function and tracking of interesting objects.
