Thanks to its large diameter, the Sky-Watcher Synta N-203/1200 DOBSON 8" GOTO telescope is perfect for visual observations, allowing you to observe both Solar System objects, as well as nebulae, star clusters and galaxies. The tubes of the telescopes in this series are foldable, so despite its considerable capabilities, this equipment is convenient to store and transport.
Unlike other foldable designs, Sky-Watcher telescopes do not require disassembly of the tube for transport. They are transported in the form of two elements - a Dobsonian mount with the GOTO system and a folded tube. Such a telescope, when extended, requires only delicate collimation or none at all. The telescope is easier to operate thanks to the Sky-Watcher patented pressure adjustment in the height axis.
Dobsonians with the GOTO system are equipped with the SynScan AZ controller with Wi-Fi communication, which allows you to easily point the telescope in any direction of the sky. User-friendly control from a smartphone application allows you to search for over 100,000 objects saved in the system's memory. Thanks to the use of special encoders, it is possible to manually rotate the telescope without the need to re-set the GOTO system. Telescopes of this type are an excellent combination of the advantages of large Dobsonians with the convenience of using a GOTO telescope. The set also includes a classic SynScan remote control.

This device focuses a large amount of light. Looking directly at the Sun through this device can cause partial or complete loss of vision. For observing the Sun, we recommend the safest method of eyepiece projection, i.e. projecting the image of our daytime star's disk onto a sheet of paper.
