The Sky-Watcher HELIOSTAR-76Ha (SW-3503) solar telescope is a safe device for observing solar prominences and other solar surface details in the H-alpha band. It offers exceptional performance below 0.5 angstroms, comparable to Double-Stack modules.
By observing the Sun in the narrow H-alpha band, the user can enjoy dynamic views of our nearest star: solar flares, prominences, spicules, granulation, sunspots, and other phenomena.
HELIOSTAR-76Ha uses a filter system that reduces thermal radiation, UV and scattered light, and thanks to the combination of front and rear filters, it only allows through light with a wavelength of 656.28 nm, characteristic of hydrogen.
Sky-Watcher Solis Etalon technology enables <0.5Å throughput without the need for additional etalons, making it ready to observe straight out of the box.
The telescope complies with the requirements of the ISO 12312-2:2015 standard for filters for direct solar observation. Always exercise extreme caution during observations and follow the operating instructions.
