ZWO ASI2600MC DUO is a professional astrophotography camera equipped with a dual-sensor system, with a separate APS-C format matrix for image recording and a smaller matrix responsible for guiding the set.
The heart of this camera is a color CMOS sensor developed by Sony. The IMX571 sensor utilizes back-illuminated technology, making it significantly more sensitive than traditional sensors, which use metal electrodes and transistor elements between the light source and the photodiode surface. In the case of the Sony IMX571 sensor, these elements do not obscure the active surface. Another benefit of using a back-illuminated photosensitive element is the elimination of the amp-glow effect. This phenomenon, manifesting as a brightening of the image during long exposures, has long plagued astrophotographers. The ZWO ASI2600MC DUO camera is another model in ZWO's lineup that is free from this problem. A 16-bit analog-to-digital converter is responsible for signal processing while maintaining the highest tonal range and maximum dynamic range, while a 512 MB DDR3 memory buffer ensures smooth and fast data transfer.
The dedicated matrix responsible for guiding in this camera is the SC2210 sensor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 px known from the ASI220MM Mini camera.
This product also features an extremely sophisticated temperature control system.
