SVBONY Hα EOS-C 7 nm is a professional astrophotography filter with a half-transmittance window width (FWHM) of 7 nm. It transmits red light with a wavelength of 656.3 nm emitted by ionized hydrogen atoms, the recording of which is particularly important when photographing emission nebulae.
This filter combines the ability to almost completely eliminate the unwanted component coming from sodium and mercury lamps with high transmission for the Hα spectral line, one of the most important from the astrophotography point of view. It was made on a high-quality substrate additionally covered with a multi-layer coating applied in the ion-assisted deposition process. The shape of the filter and its holders have been adapted to be mounted in the bodies of Canon EOS-C cameras.
Attention! The Ha filter is not recommended for visual or solar observations. • a bandpass filter made on a high-quality glass substrate, allowing Hα band lines to pass through • a filter adapted to be attached to the body of Canon EOS-C cameras • Half Bandwidth (FWHM) of 7 nm • high ability to cut light pollution • filter type: bandpass filter • Filter diameter: 1.25" • filter thickness: 1.85 mm • Filter mount: Canon EOS-C • pass bands: Hα (656.3) • half bandwidth (FWHM): 7 nm • maximum transmission for Hα band: >90% • blocked light pollution bands: mercury lamps (435.8 nm, 546.1 nm, 577 nm, 578.1 nm), sodium lamps (598 nm, 589.6 nm, 615.4 nm, 616.1 nm) • quality of surface finish: λ/4 • parallelism: <30" • SVBONY Hα EOS-C 7nm filter 12 months
