The William Optics ZS61 ED refractor utilizes a doublet made of synthetic flourite glass. These optical instruments approach the performance of expensive APO triplets, but at a significantly lower price. The heart of this refractor is a two-element objective lens with a focal length of 61 mm, FPL53 glass, and an aperture ratio of f/5.9.
The tube is equipped with a very good 2-inch Rack and Pinion focuser with a 10:1 microfocuser, smooth-running, stable - you can rely on it.
The telescope has a retractable dew shield and a Vixen standard mounting foot, and the high quality of fit and finish has long been a hallmark of William Optics products.
So we have a beautiful "outdoor" equipment, especially recommended for astrophotography in wide frames, as well as an observation telescope and for digiscoping.
Now complete with a dedicated WO FLAT61A flattener for free.

The William Optics Zenithstar ZS 61 II is a high-quality piece of equipment, lightweight and very well-made – like all William Optics products. The focuser is excellent, and the included Bahtinov mask makes focusing on stars very easy. I bought the telescope primarily for deep space photography, and it met my expectations. Below is a photo of the M31 galaxy (WO 61 + P-FLAT61R WO Z61 adjustable flattener, Canon 6D Mark II, full frame).
