The innovative telescope of the Schmidt-Cassegrain system in an aplanatic version with a modified aspherical correction plate. The new technology, known as EDGE-HD, allows us to obtain a flat and flawless field of view ideal for astrophotographic purposes. The new system, in particular, reduces the coma and improves the resolution at the edges of the field of view. The new system allows you to achieve excellent results even for large format CCD cameras - correct images are obtained even for 52 mm dies. Compared to standard optical tubes, EDGE HD tubes also have a number of mechanical features. The fixing of the main mirror, eliminating the so-called mirror shift. In the rear part of the tube there are ventilation openings with special filters to prevent dust entering. All EDGE-HD telescopes are equipped with a Fastar system allowing the CCD camera to be placed directly at the focal point of the telescope. The collimation procedure, which can now be done with knobs without tools, has also been simplified.
