The Canon / M42 adapter allows you to connect M42 thread lenses (including Zenit, Praktica, Zeiss) to all Canon EOS bodies. The adapter is equipped with so-called dandelion, an electronic system thanks to which, after connecting to the body of the camera, confirmation systems are activated, which makes working with manual lenses much easier. The offered system has the latest version of the software.
When you press the shutter button halfway down, the camera confirms the focus with a beep and the AF point highlighted. Works on all points.
The focus is still set manually by turning the ring on the lens, but the adapter makes it much easier for us to work at lower apertures, when an accurate manual focus setting is very difficult.
Light measurement works without a problem. Working with M42 lenses takes place in modes: aperture priority (Av) and in full manual mode (M). The aperture is closed with a ring on the lens, while the body chooses the right time.
The adapter also has an aperture lock and a 'twist' protection in the body bayonet. Thanks to very careful execution, there are also no problems with shifting the focus plane. Material: brass
