The Chroma H-alpha 3 nm 1.25" Mounted (SKU: CT-27001-1.25M) is a precision narrowband filter for astrophotography of emission nebulae. Made on a single substrate with hard coatings deposited by the reactive magnetron sputtering method, it ensures high H-alpha signal transmission and parameter stability over time. • the 3 nm band effectively isolates the H-alpha line (approx. 656 nm) from the sky background and nearby emissions • high bandwidth transmission – approx. 99% • hard (sputtering) and anti-reflective coatings on the back minimize reflections and ghosting • Chroma Astronomy series filters are parfocal to each other, which facilitates work with filter wheels and filter drawers • designed for f/4 and slower systems; 3nm versions are also optimized for f/3 (CWL shift), and for even faster than f/3, 5nm or wider bandwidths are recommended • not suitable for observing the Sun • 3 nm 1.25" H-alpha filter in the holder – CT-27001-1.25M • type: narrowband H-alpha filter for astrophotography • bandwidth: 3 nm • optical substrate: 3.0 mm thick glass • coating technology: reactive magnetron sputtering (hard coatings) • coating construction: main layer on the front side, AR coatings on the back side • Transmitted wavefront accuracy: better than 0.25 waves/inch • parfocal: yes (with other Chroma Astronomy filters) • diameter/frame: 1.25" • production: USA (Vermont)
