ZWO ASI 585MC-P is a compact OSC ( one shot color ) astronomical camera dedicated to use in planetary astrophotography and for monitoring the activity of meteor showers or observing changes in meteorological conditions. In the Pro version, this camera is equipped with an efficient cooling system that allows you to use its full potential.
The heart of this camera is the Sony IMX585 color matrix, using back illumination (BI) and Sony Starvis 2™ technology, thanks to which it is characterized by extremely high sensitivity in both the visible and near infrared range. This sensor is also characterized by a negligibly low level of reading noise, which for a gain of 19.8 dB is only 3.8 e, as well as the absence of the amp glow effect. Combined with an advanced 12-bit analog-to-digital converter, this guarantees breathtaking results in almost any conditions. This model is also equipped with a DDR III read buffer ensuring smooth and stable data transmission, as well as a two-phase cooling system minimizing thermal noise of the matrix during long exposure times.
