The MAGUS PH1 set enables microscopic observations using the phase contrast technique, which allows the examination of transparent, unstained preparations – especially living cells – without the need to use dyes. The set contains four phase objectives of the planar-achromatic type, including a 100x/1.25 oil objective. The 40x and 100x objectives are equipped with a spring mechanism protecting the lenses from damage in the event of accidental contact with the preparation. The phase contrast condenser is mounted in place of the standard bright field condenser. The annular diaphragms on the revolving cup and the phase rings in the objectives can be precisely centered using the included centering telescope.
