The MAGUS MES10 eyepiece is equipped with a measuring scale located in the plane of the field diaphragm, which allows direct linear measurements of preparations in millimeters or microns. The scale graduation is 0.1 mm. The eyepiece is mounted in the 30 mm diameter microscope tube instead of the standard 10x eyepiece. To obtain real measurement values, the scale must be calibrated separately for each objective used. Calibration is performed using a calibration slide with a 0.01 mm scale. The scale value is calculated using the formula: E = TL/A, where T is the calibration scale value (0.01 mm), L is the number of slide scales, and A is the number of scales in the eyepiece.
