Fenix HM65R-DT is a modernized version of a reliable headlamp whose two light emitters with a total flux of 1,500 lumens and an extremely durable, yet extremely light magnesium housing make the model suitable for even the most difficult situations. The flashlight has a solid and damage-resistant body made of a light magnesium alloy, a material resistant to mechanical damage, corrosion and weather conditions. The headlamp has a compact and light design without external wires, making the flashlight very comfortable to use and perfect for any form of outdoor activity, from cave exploration, camping and evening jogging. The main light source of the flashlight is a cold Luminus SST40 diode (6500 K), which emits a maximum flux of 1300 lumens with a cool color recommended for all applications requiring intensity and maximum brightness. The light reflected from the smooth reflector has a quite concentrated stream with a working range of up to 163 m. In addition to the long-range emitter, the headlamp also uses a second, smaller Luminus SST20 diode (with a warm color of 3000 K) and a collimating lens, which it evenly disperses the light and provides very efficient and uniform lighting at close range. The flashlight, of course, has an adjustable lighting angle, which is done by tilting the entire flashlight module. The Fenix HM65R-DT headlamp is powered by a 18650 battery (included), which can also be replaced with 2 CR123 disposable batteries. However, we recommend using a 18650 battery, which guarantees full light parameters and longer operation of the flashlight. This model has a USB-C port installed, which allows you to charge the battery with a high current of 1.5 A without the need to remove it from the device. This is a very functional solution when we plan to work for a long time using a headlamp. Thanks to the use of two buttons, operating the flashlight is very simple and convenient and, most importantly, it does not require removing the flashlight from the head. Each emitter is operated by a separate switch, which is also used to change the brightness level. The long-range SST40 emitter offers 3 operating modes: high (1300 lumens), medium (400 lumens), low (130 lumens). The SST20 diffused light emitter provides three alternative modes: high (400 lumens), medium (130 lumens) and low (5 lumens). The flashlight beam can be increased up to 1,500 lumens by turning on two diodes at the same time. The Fenix HM65R-DT headlamp is equipped with reverse polarity protection to protect against incorrect battery installation. The flashlight has a high IP68 protection class, which means it is resistant to dust, dust, heavy rain and even full immersion in water (2 m) for 30 minutes. Therefore, the HM65R can be successfully used in any weather conditions and for virtually any physical activity. Convenient carrying of the flashlight on the head is ensured by a modernized rubber band that wicks away sweat and is equipped with reflective inserts that increase our visibility and safety when traveling on the road or trail at night. The HM65R-DT uses a constant current driver, which guarantees a longer operating time of the flashlight. The set includes: ARB-L18-3400 lithium-ion battery, rubber headband, spare O-ring, USB Type-C charging cable. The presented parameters were obtained in laboratory conditions.
