The Kowa TSN-66A Prominar 25-60xw zoom telescope with a variable focal length TE-11WZ II eyepiece is a professional set designed for the most demanding users. Thanks to the use of the best materials currently available, this product is characterized by unique image quality and very high durability.

This telescope uses the highest quality low-dispersion optical system with a fluorite lens. Fluorite, which occurs naturally near hydrothermal veins and in igneous rocks, is characterized by an extremely low refractive index (n = 1.4), unattainable even for the best types of optical glass. This unique feature of fluorite means that lenses made of it allow you to obtain an image almost free of chromatic aberration, ensuring perfect color reproduction and excellent contrast. The material used to produce the low-dispersion lens of the Kowa TSN-66A Prominar 25-60xw zoom telescope is synthetic fluorite, which, unlike a naturally occurring mineral, is free from impurities with rare earth metals, which give a greenish or purple color. The disadvantage of fluorite compared to optical glass is that it is extremely difficult to process. Calcium fluoride single crystals have a tendency to chip, so over the years the Kowa company had to develop a unique technology for grinding and polishing lenses made of this material, which resulted in the production of optical instruments unrivaled in terms of image quality.

In order to further improve the image quality, the fluorite lenses are covered with a full, multi-layer anti-reflective coating, resulting in a sharp and clear image even in unfavorable lighting conditions. The entire structure is enclosed in a sealed and nitrogen-filled housing, which means that the equipment is not afraid of difficult weather conditions, such as rain, snow or low temperatures.

The most important features of the Kowa TSN-66A Prominar 25-60xw zoom telescope

• optical system with a low-dispersion lens made of pure fluorite and fully covered with anti-reflective coatings
• external lenses additionally covered with a dirt- and scratch-resistant KR™ coating developed by Kowa
• wide-angle TE-11WZ II eyepiece placed at an angle, making it easier to observe objects high above the horizon
• dual focusing mechanism enabling coarse and fine adjustments
