The Astronomik OIII 12nm CCD filter is a narrowband filter designed for astrophotography of emission nebulae shining in the oxygen lines (496 and 501 nm). It effectively increases the contrast between objects emitting light in this spectral range and the sky background, even in conditions of strong light pollution or with a bright Moon. The filter blocks the emission lines of sodium lamps (low and high pressure), mercury lamps, natural sky glow and most of the moonlight. The 12nm version is especially recommended for use with typical CCD and CMOS cameras with standard or higher dark current, as well as DSLR cameras. The filter also makes it easier to guide the telescope using the built-in guiding sensor thanks to the larger number of visible stars. The MFR (Multi-Frequency Resistant) coating ensures high signal transmission in the OIII lines and effective suppression of unwanted radiation in the entire visible range - from ultraviolet to infrared. • type: OIII CCD filter, narrowband • diameter: 27 mm • assembly: without frame (unmounted) • bandwidth: 12 nm • central wavelengths: 496 nm and 501 nm • typical transmission: 95% (for 501 nm) • guaranteed transmission: >90% (for 501 nm) • glass thickness: 1 mm • optical compatibility: for systems with a focal ratio of f/3 to f/∞ • Cover: MFR (Multi-Frequency Resistant) • other features: scratch and moisture resistant coating, parfocal filter • SKU: 10215327 / 8h00mj
