The Astronomik SII 6nm CCD filter is a professional narrowband filter, dedicated to astrophotography of nebulae emitting light in the sulfur lines (671.7 nm and 673 nm). Thanks to high transmission and a very narrow passband, it greatly increases the contrast of objects in relation to the sky background - even in high light conditions. The 6nm version with MFR (Multi-Frequency Resistant) coating effectively blocks unwanted radiation from UV to IR, eliminating the influence of sodium and mercury lamps, moonlight and airglow. Ideal for users of low dark current cameras and for working in urban conditions.
