Meade 8" 203/2032 LX85 ACF is a professional catadioptric telescope mounted on an automated equatorial mount, intended for both visual observations and planetary astrophotography.

The heart of this instrument is an aplanatic optical system made using Advanced Coma-Free™ technology, which guarantees an extremely sharp, astigmatism-free image with perfectly corrected field curvature. The Meade 8" 203/2032 LX85 ACF model is also equipped with an enlarged main mirror made of Schott Borofloat borosilicate glass with reduced thermal expansion. This makes the instrument use the entire field of view much better, being at the same time less sensitive to changes in thermal conditions.

All optical elements are additionally covered with an anti-reflective UHTC™ coating, which allows much more light to pass through than other multi-layer coatings. Thanks to this technology, the images obtained are very bright and contrasting.

The optical tube is mounted on a stable equatorial mounting with a maximum permissible load of 15 kg. The Meade AudioStar™ controller, which has a database of 30,000 objects, is responsible for controlling the assembly.
