GSO RC Ritchey-Chretien 16" F/8 M-LRC Carbon Truss OTA is one of the flagship telescope models in the GSO offer, dedicated to the most experienced astrophotography enthusiasts. This instrument allows you to take breathtaking shots of the most spectacular , and at the same time demanding objects such as nebulae or smaller galaxies.

The optical design of this telescope is a reflector in the Ritchey-Chretien system, which is so far the best system developed for applications in astrophotography. This system is free from the most common optical defects such as coma and spherical and chromatic aberrations, which must be taken into account when using lens telescopes and other types of reflectors. This model is equipped with a primary and secondary mirror made of quartz, whose characteristic feature is high thermal stability, which, combined with an extensive system of internal baffles, guarantees perfectly sharp images with excellent contrast and a high level of detail.

This telescope was designed as an open instrument based on a frame made of carbon fiber and aluminum. Thanks to the frame structure and the use of a built-in cooling system, this telescope needs much less time to equalize temperatures than models with a classic, closed tube.
