TS-Optics M48-F68 adapter / M68 to M48 connector (SKU: M68i-M48a) is a short connecting adapter that allows transition from the M68 threaded system to the popular M48x0.75 standard. The adapter is designed for building a rigid, threaded optical train in astrophotography setups.

On the telescope side, the adapter has an M68x1 internal thread, while on the camera or accessory side it has an M48x0.75 external thread. This allows M68 system components to be connected with M48 accessories, such as extension rings, filter drawers, off-axis guiders, photographic adapters or other elements of the imaging train.

The M68 system is used in more advanced astrophotography setups, especially where a larger clear aperture and a stable mechanical connection are important. The adapter allows transition from M68 to M48 while maintaining a very short optical length of 5 mm. The M48x0.75 thread is a standard used, among others, in 2" accessories and 2" filter threads.
