The SVBONY O-III SV115 2" 18 nm is a professional astrophotography filter with an increased half-transmissivity window (FWHM) of 18 nm and spectral characteristics optimized for effective removal of light pollution. wavelengths of 495.9 and 500.7 nm emitted by ionized oxygen atoms, the recording of which is particularly important when photographing emission nebulae.
This filter combines the ability to almost completely eliminate the unwanted component coming from sodium and mercury lamps with high transmittance for the O-III spectral line, one of the most important from the point of view of astrophotography . It was made on a high-quality glass substrate, additionally secured with an anti-reflective layer. By increasing the half-width of the transmission window, this filter not only perfectly cuts out unwanted spectral lines emitted by mercury and sodium lamps, but also significantly improves the brightness of the photographed object.
Attention! The O-III filter is not recommended for visual observation or solar observation. • bandpass filter with maximum transmission for radiation with the wavelength of 495.9 and 500.7 nm • anti-reflective coating to prevent glare • Half Bandwidth (FWHM) of 18 nm • high ability to cut light pollution in the range from 400 to 700 nm • filter type: bandpass filter • Filter diameter: 2" • filter thickness: 1.85 mm • filter shape: round • pass bands: O-III (495.9; 500.7 nm) • half bandwidth (FWHM): 18 ± 2 nm • maximum transmission: 90% ± for lines 495.9 and 500.7 • blocking range: 400 - 700 nm • blocked light pollution bands: mercury lamps (435.8 nm, 546.1 nm, 577 nm, 578.1 nm), sodium lamps (598 nm, 589.6 nm, 615.4 nm, 616.1 nm) • filter coating: anti-reflective layer • SVBONY O-III SV115 2" 18 nm filter 12 months
