Primary Arms SLx 5 × 36 is a prismatic sight with a high 5× magnification that allows easy target identification at a medium distance, as well as rapid shooting with both eyes at targets at close range. Many shooters struggle with the problem of astigmatism, an eye condition that causes the aiming point to be blurred/distorted, etc., when using a collimator. This makes it difficult to aim, especially at small, far away targets. This problem can be solved by replacing the collimator with a much more expensive holographic sight, a running telescope or a prismatic sight, which is breaking records of popularity across the world. Unlike collimators, prism sights with magnification have a BDC reticle, a much clearer image without parallax error. They also provide greater precision when shooting at longer distances, while enabling binocular aiming while maintaining situational awareness. The original ACSS 5.56 / .308 reticle was etched on the glass, so it is visible regardless of the time of day, even without the need to use backlight. To the right of the BDC reticle there is a scale for measuring the distance to the target, which also helps in making corrections when aiming at a moving object. The mesh has partial illumination (horseshoe and chevron) with the option of switching between 2 illumination colors, which allows you to choose the color appropriate to your preferences and the surroundings. The 10-degree backlight (5 red/5 green) powered by a CR2032 battery can be helpful when shooting CQB quickly or in low visibility conditions. ACSS 5.56/5.45/.308 is an original Primary Arms reticle scaled to the ballistics of 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, 5.45 × 39 mm and .308 Winchester Blackout rifles. The ACSS mesh in the central part has a thinner chevron (inverted V) surrounded by a thicker horseshoe. Below the chevron and on its right side there are divisions for applying precipitation corrections. The result is an intuitive reticle that is perfect for dynamic shooting at short distances and precise shooting at medium distances. Thanks to this mesh, we can compensate for precipitation (at a distance of up to 731 m), estimate the distance to the target, and thanks to the thickened horseshoe, move smoothly between moving targets. The ACSS reticle creates an extremely simple and at the same time functional sighting system, the advantages of which have been appreciated by beginners and experienced shooters all over the world.
