SLx prism sights combine the speed of entering the target using a collimator, the precision of an optical sight and a compact size, which is why they are eagerly chosen not only by astigmatists, but also by shooters looking for a universal sight for shooting at short and medium distances. The American brand Primary Arms, famous for its high-quality optical sights, collimators, prismatic sights and shooting accessories, has taken the American market by storm, offering products with an excellent quality-price ratio. Most products of this brand are covered by a lifetime warranty, which clearly emphasizes the confidence in the products offered. Primary Arms is also famous for its proprietary ACSS reticle, thanks to which beginner shooters can instantly improve their shooting skills. Primary Arms SLx 5 × 36 is a prismatic sight with a high magnification of up to 5×, belonging to the valued Slx line, which owes its reputation to reliability, innovation and an excellent value for money. During field testing, the Primary Arms optics were tested on SCAR 17 .308 Win, which fired over 7,000 rounds of ammunition without damaging the sights. • aiming reticle etched on the glass visible regardless of the time of day, • aiming mark illuminated in red or green, • a large exit pupil distance (68-76 mm) creates a large eyebox allowing for comfortable head positioning without the need to maintain a perfect optical axis, • field of view of 6.2/100 meters makes it easier to aim at moving objects, • patented ACSS BDC reticle scaled for 5.56 NATO/.223 Remington/5.45×39 mm/.308 Win rifles, • ring for quick adjustment of the mesh sharpness, • durable sealed design of the sight ensures resistance to fog, rain and shocks, • clicks of the 1/4 MOA turrets are felt and audible, which makes zeroing easier, • the sight is compatible with the standard transport handle, • detachable Picatinny rail for mounting accessories or piggy-backed mounting under the MRDS collimator, • anti-reflective finish using hard anodizing technique, • the set includes a reinforced mounting (compatible with AR15) on a Picatinny rail, • viewfinder covered by a lifetime warranty. Primary Arms SLx 5 × 36 uses an improved ACSS 5.56 reticle etched on premium low-dispersion glass, an additional rail for a piggy-back collimator and a reinforced mounting base ensuring stiffness and reliability of mounting on the weapon. Primary Arms SLx 5 × 36 is a prismatic sight with a high 5× magnification that allows easy target identification at a medium distance, as well as rapid shooting with both eyes at targets at close range. Many shooters struggle with the problem of astigmatism, an eye condition that causes the aiming point to be blurred/distorted, etc., when using a collimator. This makes it difficult to aim, especially at small, far away targets. This problem can be solved by replacing the collimator with a much more expensive holographic sight, a running telescope or a prismatic sight, which is breaking records of popularity across the world. Unlike collimators, prism sights with magnification have a BDC reticle, a much clearer image without parallax error. They also provide greater precision when shooting at longer distances, while enabling binocular aiming while maintaining situational awareness. The sight has a sealed aluminum body, which makes it resistant to fog, rain and shocks. The sight has a 10.3 mm exit pupil and a large eyebox, which allows for quick assembly without the need to maintain the correct optical axis. Thanks to this, the Primary Arms SLx 5X prismatic sight provides a wide field of view and is perfect for dynamic shooting at moving targets, where we do not always have time to properly assemble the shot. The original ACSS 5.56 / .308 reticle was etched on the glass, so it is visible regardless of the time of day, even without the need to use backlight. To the right of the BDC reticle there is a scale for measuring the distance to the target, which also helps in making corrections when aiming at a moving object. The mesh has partial illumination (horseshoe and chevron) with the option of switching between 2 illumination colors, which allows you to choose the color appropriate to your preferences and the surroundings. The 10-degree backlight (5 red/5 green) powered by a CR2032 battery can be helpful when shooting CQB quickly or in low visibility conditions. ACSS 5.56/5.45/.308 is an original Primary Arms reticle scaled to the ballistics of 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, 5.45 × 39 mm and .308 Winchester Blackout rifles. The ACSS mesh in the central part has a thinner chevron (inverted V) surrounded by a thicker horseshoe. Below the chevron and on its right side there are divisions for applying precipitation corrections. The result is an intuitive reticle that is perfect for dynamic shooting at short distances and precise shooting at medium distances. Thanks to this mesh, we can compensate for precipitation (at a distance of up to 731 m), estimate the distance to the target, and thanks to the thickened horseshoe, move smoothly between moving targets. The ACSS reticle creates an extremely simple and at the same time functional sighting system, the advantages of which have been appreciated by beginners and experienced shooters all over the world. Third generation prismatic sights use a solid aluminum assembly with key steel elements, which guarantees stable and reliable zero holding. Primary Arms SLx 5X has a mounting base with a height adapted to AR15 sights. • linear field of view at 100 m [m]: 6.2 • distance from the eye [mm]: 68-76 • illumination of the reticle (reticle): there is • magnification [×]: 5 • reticle type: ACSS 5.56/5.45/.308 • turret type: covered • gradual adjustment [MOA]: 0.33 • mass [g]: 522 • Lens diameter [mm]: 36 • elements of the telescope set: assembly • warranty period: Lifetime warranty from the Primary Arms manufacturer • manufacturer: Primary Arms, USA • supplier symbol: PAC5X-GENIII-ACSS-5.
