A modernized version of the HIKMICRO Thunder TE25 thermal imaging sight, adapting this extremely successful design to the latest standards. Thanks to the optimization of the device's operation, HIKVISION engineers have obtained a significant extension of the model's operation time - now it will allow for up to 10 hours of uninterrupted operation. The frequency of refreshing the device has also changed, which, thanks to the increase to 50 Hz, now guarantees extremely high fluidity, and thus the comfort of observation. The model also received the ability to record sound, as well as activate recording by sensing the recoil of the weapon on which it was mounted. However, the sight still retains the advantages of the original - an extremely compact design and great image quality, offering effective game detection.

Construction of the HIKMICRO TE25 2.0 thermal imager

Hikmicro Thunder TE25 2.0 has a lightweight and durable body made of aluminum alloy (magnalia). This makes the Thunder TE25 with dimensions of 187.2 × 62.5 × 59.2 mm the lightest sight in its class on the market. The aluminum structure also guarantees resistance to shocks, impacts and weather conditions. The body has been protected against water, dust and moisture (IP67 class), therefore the sight is resistant to all weather conditions that may occur during hunting. During the stalking of the game, it is extremely important to keep silence, which is why rubber buttons with noiseless operation were used to operate the viewfinder.

Excellent image parameters

The HIKMICRO Thunder TE25 2.0 uses a sensitive 256 × 192 px sensor with a sensitivity of <20 mk, a high-quality OLED display 1024 × 768 px, a 25 mm lens and a functional rangefinder. The lower the NETD value, the better the sensor detects temperature differences of objects, which affects the excellent image quality. Such parameters ensure a clear image in all environmental conditions, thanks to which the viewfinder can be used in complete darkness, in fog, smoke, dust, as well as during rain and snow. The thermal imager has an optical magnification of 3.25 × and target detection at a distance of up to 1200 m. HIKMICRO Thunder TE25 2.0 has the popular PiP (picture in picture) function that allows the hunter to observe the target simultaneously and with a wide field of view. Thunder also uses digital zoom in the range of 2×, 4× and 8×.

The hunter has 4 most popular display modes at his disposal, he can choose between:

• White hot - warm light color. The higher the temperature, the brighter the key.
• Black hot - warm in a dark color. The higher the temperature, the darker the tone.
• Red hot - image as in "black hot" with red highlighting of the warmest elements
• Fusion - from high temperature to low temperature, the image is colored from white, yellow, red, pink to purple.

Thermal Image Technologies:

• DDE (digital detail enhancement) - digital enhancement of details, smoothes the image while emphasizing details,
• 3D DNR (3D digital noise reduction) - digital noise reduction, effectively removes noise and affects image quality,
• AGC (automatic gain control) - automatic gain control, improves the contrast of the displayed scene.

Variable Reticles - Thermal Imaging Sight Modes

HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TE25 offers 5 versions of reticles in 3 colors and the option to turn off the reticle completely when using the reticle for normal observation. An addition that all hunters will appreciate is the static rangefinder, which allows distance measurement based on factory settings or user-defined settings. HIKMICRO Thunder TE25 not only provides excellent support during hunting, but also in observation and patrol activities.

The functionality of the HIKMICRO Thunder hunting thermal imaging

The Thunder Imager is powered by dedicated batteries with increased efficiency, included in the set. The working time in this version reaches up to 10 hours and can be increased by connecting a power bank (USB-C port). The upgrade also added the function of charging the Imager via the USB-C port. The device has 16 GB of built-in memory where you can store captured images or video clips. In addition, the image can be transmitted via Wi-Fi to a phone or other device on which an appropriate application has been installed (Android or iOS).

Share your screen in real time

The function redirects the image from the thermal imager to the smartphone, thanks to which both the shooter and the accompanying person can view the area visible through the lens at the same time. In addition, it is possible to connect one sighting device to many phones, enabling the sharing of the image with the whole group. By rotating the screen, we can switch to landscape mode or simply get an image from the viewfinder horizontally.

Remote control via smartphone

Thanks to the HIKMICRO Sight application, we can control the sight using a smartphone. Thanks to this, settings such as brightness, zoom, color modes and even calibration are available on the phone screen.
