Askar V is a professional astrograph, which was the first in the world to be designed as an instrument with modular optics. This revolutionary design allows the telescope to be quickly adapted to current needs, whether it is to be used for astrophotography or visual observations.
The telescope tube connects to lenses with apertures of 60 and 80 mm, which, together with a dedicated flattener, reducer and extender, cover the focal length range from 270 to 600 mm. In terms of the optical system, the Askar V telescope is a three-element apochromatic refractor with an air gap, which thanks to two low dispersion lenses is characterized by excellent correction of chromatic aberration.
However, the possibilities of this telescope are not limited to astrophotography only. This instrument allows you to conduct visual observations after connecting the diagonal attachment or glasses with a diameter of 1.25" and 2". • professional astrograph with two low-dispersion lenses that eliminate chromatic aberrations • a modular optical system that allows you to adjust the focal length and aperture to current needs • dedicated reducer, flattener and extender included • Diameter of the full illumination circle ensuring full frame coverage • possibility of using also in visual observations • optical construction: apochromatic refractor • lens system: ED triplet with air gap • number of low dispersion lenses: two • Diameter of the full illumination disc: 44 mm • compatibility with full-frame cameras: yes • Diameter of the front lens with V80 lens: 80 mm • focal length with the V80 lens: 500 mm • Light (V80): f/6.25 • Diameter of the front lens with the V60 lens: 60 mm • focal length with the V60 lens: 360 mm • Light (V60): f/6 • working distance from the end of the 2" adapter to the focusing plane (V60 / V80): 150 mm / 139.7 mm • overall length without accessories (V60): 318.5 mm • total length with folded and unfolded dew shield (V80): 411 mm / 479 mm • weight with mounting rings and Vixen foot (V60 / V80): 2.8 kg / 3.4 kg • rear connection adapter (for both configurations): 2", 1.25" • the possibility of conducting visual observations: yes • rotator: yes, 360° • mounting bracket: Vixen foot, 300 mm • finder socket: Vixen • focal length with reducer (V60 / V80): 270 mm / 384 mm • reducer lights (V60 / V80): f/4.5 / f/4.8 • focal length with flattener (V60 / V80): 360 mm / 495 mm • flattener lights (V60 / V80): f/6 / f/6.18 • focal length with extender (V60 / V80): 446 mm / 600 mm • lights with extender (V60 / V80): f/7.43 / f/7.5 • reducer weight: 0.44 kg • flattener weight: 0.48 kg • extender weight: 0.46 kg • rear accessory thread: M54x0.75 / M48x0.75 with built-in thread for 2" filters • accessory back focus: 55 mm from the M48 adapter • Maximum diameter of accessories: 76 mm • Askar V optical tube body • Askar V80 lens • Askar V60 lens • Askar V reducer • flattener Askar V • Askar V extender • dust removal bulb • hex key • transport bag • documentation 24 months
