William Optics Gran Turismo GT 81 WIFD is the latest version of one of the best compact apochromats dedicated to astrophotography enthusiasts, equipped with a patented WIFD internal focus system.

The heart of this telescope is the three-element APO-ED optics. One of the most perfect optical materials, which is synthetic fluorite, was used for the production of the low dispersion lens. This material, known as FPL-53, is characterized not only by a high value of the Abbe number, but also, what is equally important, it is chemically much more stable than natural crystalline fluorite.

The unique feature of the William Optics Gran Turismo GT 81 WIFD telescope is the innovative type of focuser ( WIFD William Optics Internal Focus Design ) with internal focusing. This patented solution allows you to maintain perfect linearity even when installing large reflex cameras or heavy astronomical cameras, thus minimizing the risk of unwanted vignetting to zero. The focuser is also compatible with the ZWO EAF autofocus system.

The telescope tube is mounted on precisely made clamps, equipped with a Vixen socket for mounting a finder or guider.
