The Sky-Watcher CQ350-PRO mount is a computerized equatorial mount designed to work with the largest optical tubes and equipped with a GoTo SynScan V5 controller and dual-axis drive.
Sky-Watcher CQ350-PRO enables precise and stable guidance of observation or astrophotography sets with a total mass of up to 35 kg. Such a high load capacity and excellent guidance accuracy have been achieved thanks to the use of carefully selected mechanical elements such as worm or belt gears, as well as cooperating gears. Hybrid stepper motors controlled by high-resolution controllers are responsible for the drive of both axes.
The mount is controlled by the latest SynScan version 5 controller. The database contains 42,000 objects. The mount allows tracking objects at both sidereal and solar and lunar velocities. The mount performance can be further improved by using a 200-segment periodic error control.
The mount weighs 15 kilograms and is additionally equipped with two counterweights weighing 10 kg each. Additional accessories that may be useful to the user include an optional polar scope or a 12V power supply (as standard, the mount is equipped with a cable for connecting to a car cigarette lighter socket).
