Askar H-Alpha 3 nm 2 "is a professional astronomical filter from the Askar Color Magic series, dedicated to photographing objects such as emission and planetary nebulae, or remnants of supernova explosions.
This filter is characterized by a very high transmission for the Hα line (656.3 nm) emitted by ionized sulfur atoms. Combined with the efficient cutting of the spectral lines characteristic of sodium and mercury lamps, this allows you to capture sharp and contrast images even near large cities or during bright moonlit nights. The filter has a very narrow half-width of the passband of only 3 nm, so it allows to obtain much better contrast and much darker background than in the case of traditional bandpass filters with a wider transmission window.
The filter is equipped with a standard, two-inch frame, and the set includes a dedicated protective box facilitating safe transport and storage. • single-range high transmission filter for the Hα line • Half width of the transmission bands (FWHM) at the level of 3 nm • efficiency of cutting out light pollution at the level of OD5 optical density equivalent • filter type: bandpass filter • filter diameter: 2 " • filter thickness: 1.85 ± 0.05 mm • half bandwidth (FWHM): 3 nm • pass bands: Hα • location of the maximum peak transmittance (CWL): 656.3 nm • maximum transmission: 90% • blocking range: 200 - 1100 nm • equivalent optical density for blocking range:> OD5 • surface quality index: 60/40 • parallelism: 30 " • Askar H-Alpha 3 nm 2 "filter 24 months
