Player One APOLLO-C (SKU: POA-APOLLO-C ) is the color version of the acclaimed Apollo series global shutter camera. It uses a Sony IMX174 COLOR sensor (format 1/1.2″) with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 px and a large 5.86 µm pixel. The global shutter eliminates "rolling" distortion, and the combination of a full well of ≈ 32 ke- with very low readout noise provides a huge dynamic range. Thanks to the USB-C 3.0 interface and a 128 MB DDR-III buffer, the camera records up to 120 fps in full frame RAW 10 - ideal for fast lucky imaging of the Sun, Moon and planets. • Sony IMX174 COLOR sensor – 1920 × 1200 px (2.3 MP), 5.86 µm pixel, global shutter • high sensitivity (QE ≈ 70%) and no amp-glow artifact • speed up to 120 fps (RAW10) in full resolution, 300 fps at ROI 640 × 480 • full well ≈ 32 ke-, read noise < 2.0 e- (HCG mode) – wide dynamic range • 128 MB DDR-III buffer – smooth data stream without dropped frames • passive PCS radiator with the possibility of connecting an active ACS module • Super AR Plus window – maximum transmission 350 – 1000 nm, minimal reflections • USB-C 3.0 port (400 MiB/s) + ST-4 autoguider connector (RJ-12) • threads: internal M42 × 0.75 + nose 1.25″ – back-focus 12.5 mm, full compatibility with SFT tilter and FD MINI drawer • matrix: Sony IMX174 COLOR, CMOS, global shutter • format / diagonal: 1/1.2″ (13.3 mm) – area 11.3 × 7.1 mm • resolution: 1920 × 1200 px (2.30 MP) • pixel size: 5.86 µm • ADC: 12 bit / 10 bit (RAW) • full well: ≈ 32 ke- (gain 0) • reading noise: 1.2 – 3.5 e- (HCG → LG) • max. FPS: 120 fps @ RAW10 (1920 × 1200), 300 fps @ 640 × 480 • exposure range: 32 µs – 2000 s • Buffer: 128MB DDR-III • back-focus (with 1.25″ nose): 12.5 mm • dimensions / weight: Ø 60 mm × 32 mm / ≈ 175 g • cooling: PCS passive; compatible ACS module (active) • Power supply: 5 V DC from USB-C (≤ 450 mA) • systems: Windows 7/10/11 (ASCOM), macOS, Linux (INDI) With its global shutter and large pixel , Apollo-C is excellent for imaging the solar disk (H-α, Ca-K, WL), lunar surface, and planetary atmospheres at long focal lengths. The camera can also act as a precision guider in OAG Mini systems, offering high near-infrared sensitivity and stable readings without rolling-shutter distortion.
