ZWO ASI 678MC is a compact OSC ( one shot color ) astronomical camera dedicated for use in planetary astrophotography. This camera is a development of the ASI 178MC model, with regard to which the noise level has been reduced and the amp-glow effect has been eliminated.

The heart of this camera is a color Sony IMX678 sensor, using backlight (BI) and Sony Starvis 2 ™ technology, thanks to which it is characterized by extremely high sensitivity both in the visible and near infrared range. This sensor also has a negligibly low level of readout noise, which for an amplification of 8 db is only 1 e. Combined with an advanced 12-bit analog-to-digital converter, this guarantees breathtaking results in almost every corner. Under any conditions.

The whole is closed in a light and compact housing made of aluminum and finished in red color characteristic for ZWO products.

The most important features of the ZWO ASI 678MC camera

• color camera with a small pixel diameter, negligible reading noise, designed for planetary astrophotography
• Sony IMX678 matrix with backlight using the latest Sony Starvis 2 ™ technology, free from the amp glow effect
