A small refractor with a lens diameter of 50 mm and a focal length of 242 mm, equipped with an excellent lens made of low-dispersion FPL53 glass. This telescope can be easily mounted to the finder foot of a larger telescope, it can be used as a finder, guider, as a wide-angle telescope for sky photography or direct observation with an extremely large field of view. Application • high-quality guider for astrophotography - when equipped with an autoguider, it is suitable for guiding telescopes with apertures up to 10 inches • high-quality finder allowing for direct finding and identification of nebular objects (when equipped with an eyepiece with a cross) • as an astrophotographic refractor for use with cameras with a small sensor; the refractor ensures short exposure times thanks to f/4.8 light power, it is perfect for sensors with a size of less than 15 mm • convenient wide-angle refractor - ordinary 1.25" eyepieces are enough to obtain wide images, for example a Plossl eyepiece with a focal length of 32 mm will give a field of view of 6.6 degrees
Telescope properties • excellent correction of chromatic aberration thanks to the use of a 2-element ED glass FPL-53 lens • 1.25" helical extractor with eyepiece mount and T-2 thread • standard 20mm backfocus, after removing the rear backfocus extension to 60mm, sufficient for use with SLR cameras • attachment to the finder foot with 6 positioning screws included • with a weight of 800 g, this telescope is slightly heavier than a standard finder scope and does not cause a significant change in the center of gravity • 1.25" parfocal ring allows you to set a comparable focus point for the eyepiece and autoguider, it helps in finding and setting the right star for guiding • clamp mounting: "small Vixen" finder foot and standard Vixen dovetail 15 cm long 60 months
