Orion GiantView BT-100 are professional astronomical binoculars, which will also be perfect as an instrument for observing the landscape in daylight conditions.
This model is equipped with an optical system with a lens diameter of 100 mm, thanks to which its light-gathering capacity is more than 50 percent greater than that of the 80 mm models. The large amount of collected light guarantees an extremely clear image of many astronomical objects, starting from the Moon and ending with bright nebulae. To improve the contrast, all lenses of the Orion GiantView BT-100 binoculars have been covered with a full multilayer coating.
The binoculars are compatible with glasses with a frame diameter of 1.25". The set includes two glasses with a focal length of 18 mm and an apparent field of view of 65°. These glasses allow the installation of separately available filters, such as Orion SkyGlow or UltraBlock, which by blocking light pollution, enable astronomical observations even in the vicinity of large cities.To improve the comfort of observation both in day and night conditions, the glasses are mounted at an angle of 45 ° .
The body of the binoculars has been made in such a way as to ensure its water resistance and shock resistance. Thanks to the filling with dry nitrogen, the risk of fogging of the optical elements with a sudden change of temperature has been eliminated.
