ZWO ASI 585MC is a compact OSC ( one shot color ) astronomical camera dedicated to use in planetary astrophotography and to monitor the activity of meteor showers or to observe changes in meteorological conditions.

The heart of this camera is the Sony IMX585 color sensor, which uses back-illumination (BI) and Sony Starvis 2™ technology, thanks to which it is characterized by extremely high sensitivity both in the visible and near infrared range. This sensor is also characterized by a negligibly low level of reading noise, which for a gain of 15 db takes the value of only 2.4 e, and the absence of the amp glow effect. Combined with the advanced 12-bit analog-to-digital converter, it guarantees breathtaking results in almost all conditions.

The whole thing is enclosed in a light and compact housing made of aluminum and finished in a red color characteristic for ZWO products.
