With the introduction of the Evolux series refractors to the offer, the Sky-Watcher company developed dedicated focal length reducers for both models, which are an indispensable addition to any professional astrophotographic set. The use of the reducer with the Evolux 82 telescope allows to achieve the light at the level of f / 5.8, which in practice allows to shorten the exposure time by almost a quarter compared to the original configuration.
The reducer, intended for cooperation with the Evolux refractor with an aperture of 62 mm, has been designed based on a low-dispersion optical system with a single ED lens. In addition to excellent correction of chromatic aberrations, this instrument provides a perfectly flat field over the entire image area.
