The Pentax XF is a series of excellent eyepieces intended both for astronomical observations and for use with observation telescopes.
The Pentax XF 12 mm model is equipped with a low-dispersion optical system with lanthanum glass elements, which guarantees a bright and sharp image with perfectly corrected chromatic aberration. The lenses, arranged in four groups, were covered with a multi-layer anti-reflective Pentax Super-Multi Coating (SMC) coating, and in order to ensure the best contrast, the location of the diaphragm limiting internal light reflections was selected by computer simulations.
The casing of the eyepiece is made in accordance with the requirements of the JIS 4 standard, thanks to which the structure is fully resistant to adverse weather conditions (fog, drizzle, etc.).
