Pentax XW is a series of professional astronomical glasses characterized by a wide field of view and excellent correction of chromatic aberrations and distortions.
The Pentax XW 30 mm model is equipped with a seven-element optical system, part of which is made of low-dispersion lanthanum glass. Arranged in six groups, the lenses are covered with a multi-layer Pentax Super-Multi Coating coating with a light transmittance exceeding 96 percent for the 560 nm line, and in addition, to ensure the best contrast, the location of the diaphragm limiting internal light reflections was selected through computer simulations.
